It was in June 2007 this year, when the much anticipated and much expected Apple i-Phone was released in the American markets and its overpowering influence was witnessed not only in US markets, but around the world. Till this date, Apple i-phone has been widely acknowledged and there are rave reviews about the Apple iphone and its enigma doesn’t seem to wither away. Though a device called LG Prada was released earlier this year which tried to tap the popularity of apple iPhone before it was released. And it aroused the popular interest too, but nothing could match the popularity of the Apple iPhone and it is one of the most sought after gadgets in the market.

Enjoying your favourite music on the go is a very old one. From leather cased transistors to big stereo cassette players on shoulder - people have done many things to be surrounded by the kind of music he likes, all the time. The concept of an entirely new compact solution saw its inception in Japan by Sony. Since then, mobile music has attracted music enthusiast from all sphere of life. The name Apple iPod is synonymous with the digital mobile music revolution as Sony’s Walkman brand was with mobile cassette players.

You’ve probably noticed the odd format of iTunes music, m4p. This is a protected format and it will only work on iTunes software and on iPod players. The standard format for digital music is mp3 which will work on just about any software or mp3 player. So, why did Apple decide to make their music unusable on other software?

I still remember the first compact camera I had. My dad gave it to me for my fourteenth birthday, and I have to say that it was the pride and joy of my life - for exactly five months. After that I have no idea what happened to it, and frankly I have to say at that time I wasn’t really all that bothered about it either.
